pics from the mini marathon

Look s like T had a little fun here . She will edit the pics later when she gets internet.

Living in Ireland

Well I have been here for 3 weeks now and getting the hang of things. I also have a foreign bank account so I can pay the bills here.

I need to remember that when I go shopping not to buy so much that 5 minute walk to the apartment feels like a mile when you are carrying bags of groceries.

Yesterday I participated in a mini marathon for the Cope Foundation. This is a charity for the physically handicaped. Anyway it was a 4 mile run/walk and I finished in 1 hour 14 minutes. Not bad for my first little marathon. But I will have to admit I was tired and my legs hurt just a bit. So as you can tell I'm getting alot of exercise which is a good thing.

Hopefully I will have a phone later this week or the first of next since those type of services take forever to have installed.

I have taken tons of pictures and once I have internet at home I will post them for everyone to see.

Hope all is well with everyone and I will talk to you later.

A letter for my wife

MY DEAREST TERESA,

They say marriage is the craziest thing you can do. If that is true, then I'd do it all

over again, with YOU.

I have to thank you for the life we've shared together, because there is no other life I'd

rather live.

I rememmber the night we met, we went to dinner at the Coachman.

We had a good discussion about dreams that night.

Your dream that night was to go to Europe.

Mine was to meet the woman of my dreams. Who ever thought YOU would be that WOMAN.

A bleach bottle blonde, that stood up to my step father.

I will never forget that afternoon.

I remember the night of our wedding, who wouldn't remember that night.

The love we made was impecable, mind blowing, and fantastic. Its been that was ever since.

I'm so proud to help you meet your dreams, as I always will try to do.

"True friendship is rarely found, often over looked, always missed."

Love is the only thing that will matter in the final moments...So love long, love strong,

and cherish the souls that touch your life.

You my love, are my best true friend. I'm glad i didn't overlook you that night we met,

because you make my life complete.

My love for you is strong.

Hopefully we'll love long, because in the final moments love is all anyone has.

You've touched my soul like no other woman ever has.

Give her inches and treat her well.............."If I had a single flower for every time I

think of you, I could walk forever in my garden" Claudia Ghandi.

My garden is full of blossoms, and flowers each and every day that you are gone.

And they smell just like you.

You are in my thoughts, prayers, and actions every day and night, (maybe thats why I can't

sleep at night, with you gone).

I can't wait to hold you in my arms again. (even if it is 9 weeks.)

I wish you well in your travels, and may god bring you safely back to my arms for the rest

of our lives.

Your loving husband,

Bill

My first week in Ireland

Well it has been a great first week. I did get moved into my new apartment and that was very exciting.

Everything here has a switch on it to get power even the eletric water heater. So Saturday I spent the day figuring out how to get hot water and power to the stove.

I did accomplish all this so things are running smoothly now.

I have pics of my first time out to the pub which was a blast!!! Once I have internet I will get these posted for everyone to see.

So talk to everyone soon.

No Internet

Ok everyone, just to let you know, T probably won't have internet for between 2 to 3 weeks. So you probably won't get any updates for that long, but hopefully not.

I keep her in my prayers, and my heart everyday, and I hope you do to.

Thanks.

Her loving husband,

Bill

The sun was shinning all day

Today was a beautiful in Cork. The sun was shining all day and the sun felt soooo good. Work is going great and I have alot of training ahead of me. This associates really need alot of help.

The letting agent is dragging his feet with the lease to the apartment so I don't know if I can move this weekend. Which really sucks since I'm tried of hotel living and I running out of clothes which could be a problem. Oh well I will figure it out.

Hopefully tomorrow will be sunny as well since the 5 minute walk to work is beautiful in the morning and the evening.

Until later,

Teresa

My first day at work

Well today was my first day at work and it was great. I sure do have my work cut out for me. They have sitting with the team which is really weird. They are trying to get me an office so I'm apart from them.

I also found an apartment today which has really put my mind to ease. Here is the link for the apartment you will just need to copy and paste the address into a new window to see the pics.

http://rose-property.com/fulldetails.asp?PropertyID=1107&Prop=PropRent

The apartment is brand new and that is very exciting. It has all the modern conveniences and it even has a real fridge and ice maker. I also have a very small balcony that I can sit on. Maybe even put a plant out there. The apartment also has a security system that you need to call me to be let in. I am across the street from the bus to get to work and just a 2 minute walk into the city center were the market is that I can buy fresh food. The apartment doesn't have a T.V. but one of the girls on my team as offer to let me use one she has.

I only have 13 associates on my team so this will be different but that is okay since I can really get to know everyone.

I'm trying to move in on Wed or Thurs and it may be a few days before I have internet and a land line. Once everything is installed I will let you know and then you can call me as well.

The sun came out today which really helped, but I was so busy I didn't get a chance to take any pics. It is going to take some time to adjust to the weather but that is okay.

This is going to be a good thing and I'm excited about the relationships I will build between Cork and Salt Lake.(They had better give me a good raise.)

Till tomorrow,

Teresa

The money in Ireland

Here is the money in Ireland. You really need to pay attention when you have coin. The coins here are 2 euros, 1 euro, 50 cents, 5 cents, 20 cents and 2 cents. The bills are easy since they have the number on them.

I still have change in US money so I needed to put it in a separate zipper in my bag so I don't give someone US change.

What to do in Ireland when it rains

Today has been a quite day. It has been raining all day so my only excitement was walking across the street to the airport to get water. YEAH!! I did take some pictures of the scenery and as you can see it is a little dreary.

Tomorrow I start my new job and meet the people on my team so the day will go by fast. Hopefully I will start looking for an apartment as well since there is nothing to do at the hotel.

Talk to everyone soon,

Teresa

My first day in the City

Well today I decided to be adventuress and go into the city. So I took the bus and went exploring.

First I needed to get some euros and that is not a good trade for US money. My $100 got be $69.00 in euros. So it is much better to use a credit card and have them charge in euros.

Of course stupid me left my camera home and didn't get any pictures on this trip.(Then when I got back to take pic of the money here my batteries were dead and I forget to bring the charger.) But the city was busy, people and cars everywhere. The whole city is one big circle so you need to find landmarks so you don't keep walking in circles. Which I did trying to find my way back to the bus stop.

They have these open markets that you can buy any type of food. I went past one of the meat counters and they had WHOLE pigs heads for sell. GROSS!!!

One good thing is I will probably quit smoking since cigarettes are $7.30 euros which is about $9.50 US dollars.

I did find this discount store that was jammed pack with people and all just stand in the way and bought me a big bag and new wallet for only $17.00 US dollars.

I also went into this store called Cummin's thinking I could find a shirt for John Micheal that said Cummings on it in a different language. So this cute clerk asked me if I'm okay. (which means can I help you) I asked if she has this type of shirt and the look on her face was I was from a another planet. Here I am trying to explain this shirt and she just kept looking at me stranger and stranger. It was funny!! ( So John Micheal I'm still looking for that shirt.)

I spent a good 3 hours just walking and walking around. At this rate I'm going to lose at least 20 lbs.

I did get a bus schedule so once I'm settled someplace I can get to and from work and if I live in the city I can walk to everything else even the grocery store.

So my first day was pretty good and hopefully tonight when I go out to dinner with Julia I can get some batteries for my camera and have some pictures for everyone tomorrow.

I finally made it

I'm here!!!!! Wow what a day. But I will admit it was easier at the airports than I thought. I had no problem finding gates, which for me can be challenging. The flight to London was great. I would recommend British Airlines. They served dinner and also a light breakfast and the best part the drinks where FREE!!!

Now for the exciting part of my day. My baggage did not come with me. So after I fill out the report and my ride is about to leave since she did not see me. I hear my name over the intercom and think YEAH they found my luggage. No just my new boss looking for me. Thank goodness I shipped some clothes over to hold me over.

My new boss is great!! She took me on a drive to a small village outside of Cork and we had a real cup of coffee. Then we went into the city and that was crazy but looks like a fun place to live.

Then this driving on the left!!!! Oh good God I'm surprised nobody gets killed. Cars turning in front of each other and people walking in the street. CRAZY!!!!!

So I get back to the hotel and to my surprise my luggage has arrived and delivered to my room. WHEW!!!

Now I'm excited that I can get online and tell everyone about my day, but first being the dumb American I can't figure out how to plug stuff in. I'm putting this plug here and there and finally call for help. So the front desk sends up this great helper named Hans, and I couldn't ask for better service. He helps me get hooked up to the internet and then discover that my converter doesn't work. GREAT!!! But since I can't read my plugs on all of my stuff I need to plug in doesn't need a converter.

All in all today has been a great day. I think I'm going to really love it here and the people are so nice. They even got me ice for my drink.

Tomorrow should be another exciting day.

Love and miss you all,

Teresa

The one I will miss the most

Here is the one person I will miss the most. Remember he is the guy you can call to sand and stain your deck.

I took a short video to remember him by and hope everyone enjoys the show.

4 days and counting

The pic above are some of the things I will miss.

Well things are getting exciting here before I leave. The last two days I have been learning the art of sanding and staining. I don't recommend it!! Way to much work and dust. But if you need someone to sand and stain your deck I have just the guy in mind.

We had a family get to gather last night and it was a huge success. Everyone had a great time and of course there was plenty of food and drink.
