Jazz Festival

Last night was the opening night the Guinness Jazz Festival. The city was a crazy place and the music was outstanding. We had a great time and of course stayed out to late and drank a little to much but that's okay it was opening night.

They are expecting at least 40 thousand people to be in attendance over the next 3 days here in Cork. Every pub has a different Jazz band and they have booths set up all over the city to try different foods.

I did manage to take a few great pictures of the evening.

The Cemetery in Cross Haven

This cemetery is hundreds of years old. Many of the headstones have broken and look like big rocks buried in the tall grass. There is the remains of the chapel there and amazing people still put flowers on the graves. This would be a spooky place at night since it over looks the ocean and very old.

More things to see in Ireland

Now that I have some time I can show everyone more things here in Cork. I went to a great little village called Cross Haven. It is about an hour on the bus but at least it is a pretty ride. They have a great fish place there that everything was caught that day so it is really fresh and very cheap. The village is very old and many tourist used to visit.

My first night at the pub

Well it has been 3 weeks since my first night at the local pub. I did take a few pictures of the people I work with and of course there is one of me after having a couple of Blarney Blondes.

YEAH!!!! I have internet.

Well today is a great day. I finally can communicate with the rest of the world. I have Internet at the apartment and lots of pics to post on my blog.

Work is going great and the team is awesome. We are going to have a team builder on Friday in the city which should be fun.

We are going to have a scavenger hunt and no one on the team has done this before.

Hope all is well back in the states and I will start sending pics of the different things here in the city and of some of the team. I will also send pics of the different things they are going to find for the team builder.

I have a phone

Well finally my phone is going to be hooked up tomorrow the 3rd. I don't have a number yet so I guess they will give that to me tomorrow. Once I have my number I will let you know and if you buy a calling card then you can give me a call.

Things at work are going great and the weather here is starting to change. I was suprised that the leaves turn just like they do in Salt Lake.

I will keep everyone posted when I have internet since that is going to take other 10 ro so business days to install.
